Prasidh Krishna's Performance Boosted by Nehra's Coaching
New Delhi [India] April 27: Prasidh Krishna, a bowler for the Gujarat Titans (GT), has credited his enhanced performance this IPL season to the guidance of Ashish Nehra. He emphasized the significance of thorough preparation and a focused mindset.
Krishna highlighted how understanding the playing conditions and making informed decisions has significantly increased his confidence and eagerness to help his team succeed.
“I didn’t change much; my preparation improved. I was clear on my focus areas, dedicated time to practice, and engaged in meaningful discussions with Ashish Nehra. A crucial lesson I learned from him is to assess the conditions and make wise choices before my run-up. This builds confidence, and when you feel confident, you’re eager to play more and contribute to the team's achievements,” Krishna shared during a session in the JioHotstar Press Room.
He also praised the overall performance of bowlers in IPL 2025, acknowledging their dedication and resilience.
“The bowlers have put in tremendous effort, and despite facing higher scores last season, everyone has prepared diligently this time. I’m pleased to see bowlers gaining the upper hand, with scores not being excessively high. We’re at the halfway mark, and anything can happen in the latter half. Kudos to everyone for ensuring bowlers are making a significant impact,” he remarked.
So far, Prasidh has claimed 16 wickets across eight matches in the ongoing IPL, boasting an impressive average of 14.12. He currently ranks as the second-highest wicket-taker this season, trailing only Josh Hazlewood from Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
Prasidh is set to take the field again when the Rajasthan Royals face off against the Gujarat Titans in the 47th match of the Indian Premier League on Monday, April 27. This match will take place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
The Gujarat Titans are currently leading the points table with six wins and two losses from eight matches. They recently secured a victory over Kolkata Knight Riders by 39 runs and are keen to continue their strong performance.
Conversely, the Rajasthan Royals sit in ninth place, having won only two out of nine matches, with five consecutive losses. Their latest match ended in defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
